No matter how unbelievable, one of the cult films of the 80’s will become a musical. The creators of Back To The Future – director Robert Zemeckis, screenwriter Bob Gale and composer Alan Silvestri, unite with Grammy-nominated producer and composer Glenn Ballard for this project.

The new musical will have its premiere at the Manchester Opera Hous. It will be played for 12 weeks, beginning on February 20, 2020. The show will then be transferred to London’s West End. No dates are currently announced in America.
The Tony award winner John Rando will be the director of the musical Back To The Future, while Ballard is the author of several new songs. Some of Silvestri’s popular music will also be adapted for the show along with songs from The Power of Love, Johnny B Goode, Earth Angel and Back in Time.

Oli Dobson, starring in the West End musicals, Bat Out of Hell, and Matilda, will star as Marty McFly. We expect information about the other names in the cast and who will play Dr. Emmett Brown.
Five years ago, it was announced that the premiere of a musical about the famous film starring Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd will take place. Now that’s going to happen, and tickets will be on sale from May 24th.
