One of the mandatory elements of the advertising campaign of each (numbered) movie from the “Star Wars” universe from 1999 and “Episode I – The Phantom Menace”, is the special thematic issue of Vanity Fair. Traditionally, the magazine offers our first more detailed information about the upcoming film, as well as exclusive pictures of the great photographer Annie Leibovitz.
Not surprisingly, “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker” did not prove to be an exception and yesterday fans who look forward to the film (yes, such people exist and we are not among them for a number of reasons) who until then had only the first teaser trailer, were delighted with the debut of the online version of the publication.
Although we are not super enthusiastic about “The Rise of Skywalker”, though we intend to watch it and we want to do it with as little prior knowledge of the plot and the characters. That’s why we did not get much deeper into the new information, but it was still impossible to escape it completely. We have allowed ourslelves to see and learn the names of some of the new characters, but if you want something more, there is tons of information on the internet.
And the new heroes we mentioned are the outlaw Zorri Bliss played by Keri Russell , the villain Allegiant General Pryde played by Richard E. Grant and Naomi Ackie’s Jannah. Of course, there are also some of our familiar heroes, and the most curious photo is one is the one that reveals (we could have saved it) the third clash between Kylo Ren and Rey.
As we have said, details of each of the characters, including Luke Skywalker and how he will be featured in the new movie, can be found on the internet. We will not get deeper. In addition to the photos above, the Vanity Fair article also offers a bunch of behind-the-scenes photos that are no less interesting and also give a lot of information. See them along with a short video dedicated to Annie Leibovitz’s session.
