It looks perfectly logical that after the premiere of “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” in Cannes, (because of which Quentin Tarantino wrote an open letter asking no one to reveal details of the movie that would spoil the pleasure of future viewers) to receive a new trailer. So far, the only preview we’ve ever seen is the official teaser at the end of March.
The new trailer gives a slightly better picture of the story and our main characters Rick Dalton (Leonardo DiCaprio) and Cliff Booth (Brad Pitt). We see more of Sharon Tate (Margot Robbie), Charles Manson (Damon Herriman), and we meet Kurt Russell, as well as Hollywood agent Marvin Shurz (Al Pacino), who we have only seen in picture so far.
“Once Upon a Time in … Hollywood” takes us to Hollywood in the late 1960s and tells of a former television star star named Rick Dalton (Leonardo DiCaprio) who hopes to rebuild his career switching to the cinema. The same ambitions include his former stunt double Cliff Booth (Brad Pitt). The plans of the two are complicated by the well-known real events surrounding Rick’s neighbor Sharon Tate (Margot Robbie) …
We are on-board with everything Tarantino, no matter what we see in the previews, so we will not comment in detail what we saw. For the record, we like every level and we can not wait for the movie. He, by the way, received good feedback from Cannes (though not over-enthusiastic) but we did not get deeper to avoid any spoilers. However, we heard that the last part of the film is one that might be problematic for some people.
As a final note, we offer you some pictures of Quentin Tarantino, Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt from their Esquire interview, which we recommend you to read.
